Bald eagle rescued from briars released

MILLSBORO, Del. — Delaware fish and wildlife agents have released a female bald eagle found entangled in briars over the weekend.
Sr. Cpl. Douglas Messeck and Cpl. David Ptak drove the bird — thumping loudly inside a large pet carrier — to the Indian River School District’s Nature Center near Millsboro on Wednesday morning. (more…)
